We at Olympic Media are encouraged and enthusiastic about the future! Operations of our primary station, Radio of Hope – Nine One One, are growing and listener feedback is extremely positive! Our current over-the-air broadcast area can be seen at the Radio of Hope Map. Our streaming audience spans 200+ nations, amassing more than 2,000 hours of average monthly tune-in time, much of which is in the Seattle-Tacoma area! This level of progress does not, however, represent the extent of our plans for expansion.
With the possible addition of an HD Digital Radio upgrade we will also be privileged to proclaim the Three Angels' Messages, 24 hours a day in English, Spanish and Russian on KROH 91.1 FM.
During the first three years of operation, we received multiple queries about the availability of our Traditional and uncompromising style of programming for use by other stations. Consequently, we decided to mechanically reformat our facilities in Port Townsend to begin operation as Radio of Hope - the Network. Full and Low-power station operators in the western U.S. have an option for music and programming that is specifically time-targeted for the Pacific time zone (Mountain and Alaskan time zone stations will encounter a slight time-shift, but program appearance times will remain reasonably appropriate).
How many times have you seen or heard a commercial that states "But, wait...there's More"? It's an old ploy, but in this case it's true! We do have another exciting and far-reaching goal to reveal!
A special type of darkness recently came to the Seattle Metro area. A partial solar eclipse occurred of special interest to the scientific community. However, it was only in-passing, and of slight magnitude, compared to the ongoing and altogether more serious darkness that continues to blanket the area!
In what may be described as the epicenter of the “unchurched belt”, the Seattle/Tacoma/Olympia radio market (and much of the Pacific Northwest) is an area filled with a great deal of religiosity, but very little authentic Christianity. “Do it yourself” religions and spiritualistic counterfeits abound! In short, this is an area of darkness that requires significant, Godly, illumination. Appropriately enough, Holy Scripture speaks loudly to us in Psalm 43:3 stating “Send out Thy light and Thy truth” and the lyrics of Charles H. Gabriel’s 1890 hymn proclaim:
There’s a call comes ringing over the restless wave,
“Send the light! Send the light!”
There are souls to rescue there are souls to save,
Send the light! Send the light!
The pen of Inspiration also states:
“Oh, that we might see the needs of these cities as God sees them! At such a time as this every hand is to be employed. The Lord is coming; the end is near, yea, it hasteth greatly!”

Since our earliest days of broadcasting, it has been our design and privilege to work alongside Adventist churches, within our regional sphere of influence, promoting evangelism, instruction in healthy-living, education, Community Services and public-outreach efforts of every congregation. The need for this supportive work, from a friendly media facility, continues to grow in value and we are convinced that our pace and scope must increase to meet the wonderful opportunities the Lord now opens before us, and to do so while time lasts. It took little investigation to confirm that the strategic addition of addition broadcast outlets and methods of distribution would accomplish much along this line of activity!
